Closets and Cabinets Conference and Expo 2013 Recap

We flew out from Detroit Tuesday, February 26th and spent the night in Denville, NJ.  When we awoke, we hit the ground running.  SSI North America was kind enough to meet with us early Wednesday and we spent the morning checking out their operation; it was very informative!  SSI North America is a stocking distributor of 3DL and StyleLite (among other film products) used in numerous industrial applications including office products, cabinetry, furniture, and other specialized applications.

After that, it was off to the New Jersey Convention Center to set up our booth.  Luckily, our crate was already there and we were able to set up right away.  In case you missed us, here is a picture of our booth.  We think the new colors and styles were a big hit!

We quickly set up our booth and then hopped in the car to drive the short distance to the hotel.  After checking in, we met Closets Concepts (WI) for dinner and drinks.  We made our way over to the meeting hall after dinner for the ACSP All Industry Networking Reception.  Not only did we receive a thank you award, but one of our customers, Affordable Closets Plus, won four Top Shelf Awards!

Congrats to Devoe & Angel Martin!

After a quick breakfast the next morning, we headed to the expo center.  The expo was full of energy, lots of traffic, and we found it a great opportunity to connect with old friends and to meet new ones.  After a long day of meeting new people, catching up with existing customers, and introducing what’s new at JB Cutting, we went to a classic diner, Harold’s, where I saw the biggest cake I’ve ever seen – check it out!

Thanks to David Kittelson from Closets Concepts WI for posing so artistically!

Friday morning we awoke enthused for another day of meeting and greeting so we headed over to the expo to get set up.  Again, we experienced lots of traffic and smiles everywhere.  Around 3pm, we started breaking down our booth and our crate arrived very speedily from  expo services.  We were able to head out to the airport quickly and make our flight back home.

Hopefully this gives you a little taste of what the CCCE is like from a vendor standpoint.  We found the show very beneficial and well run.  Can’t wait for next year!
