If you missed our last blog post, JBC added 13 new finish selections to our Benchmark Collection of 3DL doors, drawers and accessories. In that post, we gave you an overview of all the new finishes and a look at our curated duos and trios. The duos and trios are a jumping off point to create smaller palettes when designing day-to-day.
The new finishes:
The first focused palette is what we’ve been calling the “Neo-classical” palette. We are calling it that because we are seeing a cautious return to formality. We’ve all been in our sweatpants and t-shirts over the last 3 years. The tufted couch with nailhead accents represents this trend. Whites are warmer and not as stark, demonstrating we’re not ready to totally leave our comfort zone.
Natural textures also complement the more formal elements. There is a balance necessary here between the grays and whites, too much of either skews the design into the arctic. Too much blue skews nautical.
